WALK 97.5fm teamed up with two IHOP locations to spread the word about “National Pancake Day” and help raise money to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Anyone who attended received a free short stack of IHOP’s buttermilk pancakes in exchange for any monetary donation. This year’s goal was to raise $2.7 million. Bright and early in the morning, WALK 97.5′s very own “Behind the Scenes Joe” greeted hungry attendees, encouraging donations, giving away prizes and just touching base with the community. Check out a video of the event for an interview with the IHOP location’s owner, Chris Foerster!

My colleague Jesse shot the video for this event as I couldn’t make it due to school but I ended up throwing the footage together to make what you’re about to see here! I grabbed the footage of the NEXT video.

The WALK Crew and “Behind the Scenes Joe” packed up and headed over to the Commack location for some breakfast at dinner time!

While working for the radio station I produced the following video showing the greatness that occurred during this highly successful food drive. In addition to WALK’s website, the video was also featured on King Kullen’s Facebook page as well as Long Island Cares.

I was our photographer, sent to capture the event as well as our mascot interacting with park guests and the vendors. Here are just a few of the shots I took for the station that day.

Project: Cyndi Lauper Commercial

In this project for my radio production class we were told to produce a commercial based upon an actual script. We were all given the script to a commercial for Cyndi Lauper’s Memphis to Mardis Gras Tour with Doctor John and here’s my take on it.

Project: 2-3 Minute Narration

For my radio production class I was given the task of creating a 2-3 minute narration for practically anything. After some clever thinking I decided upon producing a piece on the hit toy from the 90′s, the “Skip It.”  Now, being it’s a production course the instructor was of course more concerned about the production quality than having true to the point facts so I took a little artistic freedom with this.
