The photos I have posted here were actually taken with my 18-55mm kit lens but you probably wouldn’t have guessed that given the detail in these close-ups. I’d definitely recommend the set for anyone looking to get into macro photography for fun without having to break the bank purchasing an expensive lens. Anyway, here are the shots I took with it this past Tuesday. Enjoy!

That which you are looking at there is in fact a fly! A dead one, no less!

This fine, big-eyed, hairy, winged beast is the sight I had awakened to after camping out in a tent one night.

Not going to lie… flies are a lot easier to photograph when they’re dead.

This lovely picture that probably has made somebody’s stomach turn was taken with the fine Canon Powershot SD790IS.
